
Dr. Parastoo Chamanrokh has several years of experiences in environmental microbiology such as Vibro cholerae and H. pylori coccoid form detection, medical microbiology such as H. pylori diagnosis in stomach cancer, and biotechnology in food. She earned her Bachelor in molecular Microbiology. She was instructor of Biology in Zohreh high school. She got her Master degrees in Microbiology. After graduation, she worked in the School of Chemical Engineering and the Research Center for New Technologies in Life Science Engineering at the University of Tehran as a laboratory manager, instructor and teacher assistant. She has taught different range of courses like General Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Microbial Biotechnology, Virology, Mycology, Cellular and molecular biology, Food Microbiology and Food Biotechnology and Environmental Microbiology.
In 2011, she started her Ph.D. at Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran while she was working as a Scientific Manager in the Iranian Gene Fanavar Institute (IGF), in Tehran. She has 10 international articles and 23 SELECTED articles for CONFERENCES AND PUBLIC PRESENTATION.
She was lecturer at Microbiology Department, Islamic Azad University, Malard, Iran, and taught courses in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology. Dr. Chamanrokh was graduated. in Medical and Environmental Microbiology in 2013.
Dr. Chamanrokh moved to The USA in 2014 to work as a Post-Doctoral Associate/fellow. Her research was funded by post-doctoral research fellowship through NIH at the Maryland Pathogen Research Institute, Department of Cell Biology & Molecular Genetics, University of Maryland, College Park from May 2014 until 2016.
In 2014, she got First place in Post-Doc group and received a scholarship from the Iranian American Academic and Professionals (IAAP).
From 2014, she is member of American society for Microbiology and She got ASM Microbe 2016, Student and Postdoctoral Travel Award. From 2016, she is member of Association of Professors and Scholars of Iranian Heritage (APSIH). She has had several VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES. In 2015, She was the president of graduate students Foundation (IGSF). Between 2016-2019 she was Manager of Radio college park then Radio Iranshahr, Los Angeles/orange county branch. 2017-2019, she was Manager of research and development of LA & OC persian community (OCPC). She has several interviews with BBC Persian, Iran international TV, Radio 670 am, Radio BBC, Radio Farda, Radio Ayeneh, PBC TV, Andisheh TV. She has several Scientific talks in colleges and universities in east coast and west coast in the US. She was persian and English host in some health events. In 2019, She gained the certificate of integrative nutrition Health coach with the official sanction of New York State Education Department. In 2019, She started working as a writer in SEEB magazine and wrote several articles. She works as a researcher in oncology department of UCLA and she was the best speaker in several event of toastmasters. She is Health coach, speaker and researcher. Her goal is to open Dr. Rokh international institute of education and health to help people around the world to increase their knowledge and awareness about their health.
